To reserve an Adventure Pass, you must be at least 18 years old. You can book the pass online at [Click Here to Book] or by calling the library at 641-747-8110.
The pass allows entry for up to 2 adults and 2 children at both the Zoo and the Science Center. For the Children's Museum, the pass covers 4 people, and children under one year old can enter for free.
Please note the following guidelines:
- Family members cannot reserve passes simultaneously. If additional tickets are needed, they can be purchased at the gate.
- Cardholders are allowed to reserve a pass for each venue only once every 365 days.
- Patrons MUST bring a printed version of the pass.
- Passes are valid only for the date indicated on the pass.
- The individual named on the pass must be present when redeeming it. Please do not send someone else, such as a nanny or grandparent, with the pass.
- To reserve a free Adventure Pass, you must reside in Guthrie Center or rural Guthrie Center and possess an active Mary J Barnett Memorial Library card.
- You can register for a library card on our website or in person at the library.
- For Blank Park Zoo, each Adventure Pass can be redeemed throughout the entire day for which you sign up.

A partnership between participating Iowa public libraries and museums, parks, and other attraction

Library card holders 18 years old and over who are in good standing with their library are eligible to borrow an Adventure Pass through their library’s website. (Libraries must agree to only circulate passes to residents of their city and any contracting cities.)
Patrons may only check out 1 pass for each venue per 365 days.
The pass is valid for 2 adults and 2 children. The printed pass and a valid photo ID must be presented at the gates to be admitted to the venue.
The online system blocks the pass from being used more than twice per week.
Passes are available 24/7 through each library’s website.
Reservations can be made up to 90 days in advance.
Reservations may be cancelled through the library up to the day before their reservation.
Patrons reserve the pass online by entering their library card number. They must present the printed reservation confirmation page and a valid photo ID for admittance to each venue.
The pass is valid for the reserved date only, and admits 2 adults and 2 children to the venue. Additional attendees must pay regular admission prices at the door.
