Your Library Card

Who can get a library card, how to apply, and how to use your library card.

Anyone with a permanent address may receive a library card. Children under 18 must have a parents signature. There is no charge for this card.  You use the library card to check out books and other materials. You must also use it to check out a computer.  The loan period is two weeks for all material taken out of the library on loan.

We are a member of the Open Access Program, which means you may use your library card to check out material from other participating libraries in the State of Iowa.

Material being returned should be dropped in the drop box at the check out desk, or if the library is closed, you may use the book drop in the alley behind the library.

Any material being renewed may be done over the phone or on line as well as in person.

The library does not charge overdue fines, however we have a conscience can for those who have overdues and would like to contribute towards the postage used  to send notices.

You may reserve an item either on line, in person or over the phone and we will call you when that book is available.
