Mary J Barnett Memorial Library: Check out an Iowa Adventure Pass for a day of free family fun.

Your Mary J Barnett Memorial Library card is your pass for free FUN admittance to each venue for 2 adults and 2 children this summer!

Using your card to book an Iowa Adventure Pass gets you and your family a free visit to the Blank Park Zoo & the Science Center of Iowa.

How it works:

  • You must be 18 years or older to reserve an Adventure Pass. You can book the pass online at http://www.eventkeeper.com/code/events.cfm?curOrg=GRIMES&curApp=passes&curpasskey1=Mary%20J.%20Barnett%20Library or by calling the library at 641-747-8110

  • Each pass is good for up to two adults and two children. Family members may reserve passes simultaneously, and additional tickets can be purchased at the gate.

  • Cardholders may reserve a pass to each venue once every 365 days.

  • You must live in Guthrie Center, rural Guthrie County and have an active Mary J Barnett Memorial Library card to reserve a free Adventure Pass. You can register for a library card on our website or at the library.

The Science Center of Iowa currently has limited visiting hours. Because of this, each Adventure Pass for the Science Center is good for either a 9 a.m.-12 p.m. session or a 1-4 p.m. session on a given day. For the Blank Park Zoo, each adventure pass can be redeemed during the entire day you sign up for.
